Hooded Cowl with buttons by Melissa Grice
Melissa Grice’s Hooded Cowl with Buttons from her WellRavelled Etsy Shop is the perfect cold-weather accessory. The pattern calls for a bulky yarn, a 10 mm crochet hook (P), and uses basic stitches to create the shell pattern. In the hooded cowl pictured below we used approximately 250 yards of an inexpensive super-bulky yarn that I picked up at Michael’s and three wooden toggle buttons from Fabricland. It’s a great accessory for a winter jacket without a hood, but also looks great over top a sweater.
It’s the perfect project for a beginner crocheter. I completed this in less than two hours.
The pattern costs $4.51 CAD and comes with two PDF files for right- and left-handed crocheters.
